Market Update
The performance of the share market, has overshadowed positive economic and market news:
A forecast GDP growth rate of 3.25% in 2010, by the Reserve Bank.
More attractive valuations for Australian shares as a result of improved company profits and recent share price falls.
We believe investing in quality Australian companies is an appropriate long-term investment strategy.
Smart year-end strategies 2010
With the end of the financial year fast approaching, it’s a great time to build and protect your wealth in a tax-effective manner.
But you’ll have to take action before 30 June to benefit from the opportunities available this year.
What kind of investments suit your risk profile?
All investments are subject to risk. This means that, as well as making it, you can also lose money
on your investments or that they may not meet your objectives.
As a general rule, the higher the potential return, the higher the investment risk and the longer the suggested investment timeframe.
I recently attended an insurance presentation where this video was showed. Sometimes we lose site on the value
of insurance. This video may reinforce why it is so important to be adequately covered.
For many people the 9% compulsory super contribution alone isn’t enough to
ensure they have the retirement lifestyle they want.
The How Much Super calculator lets you work
out how much money you will have on retirement based on a variety of factors. You
can also specify a desired retirement income and find out how much extra you will
need to contribute to get there.
